Endangered Species of India

We will try to learn all about the endangered species of India, how many and which states they fall in, so lets start 

 What is meant by Endangered Species ?
Imagine you have a collection of special toys that are very rare and precious. Now, think about some animals and plants in the world that are like those special toys. But, these animals and plants are in danger of disappearing forever, just like losing your special toys.

When we say a species is "endangered," it means those animals or plants that are on verge of extinction from the earth planet. So to protect them government and Private organization work together to save them from extinction.Surveys are carried out to get the accurate readings of there population to mark them and save them from extinction.

So, people and scientists work really hard to protect these endangered species. They make rules to stop anyone from hurting or catching these animals or destroying their homes. They also create safe places where these special animals and plants can live and grow safely. This way, we can try to make sure they don't disappear, and our world stays diverse and beautiful with all these unique creatures.

Red Panda (Ailurus fulgens):

Indian Pangolin (Manis crassicaudata):
The Indian pangolin is a victim of the illegal wildlife trade, with its scales highly valued in traditional medicine.
Gangetic Dolphin (Platanista gangetica):
The Gangetic dolphin, found in the Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers, faces threats from pollution, habitat degradation, and accidental entanglement in fishing nets. Conservation measures involve improving water quality and protecting their habitats.
